Royal H. Benson, III, M.D. graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine, in Lubbock, Texas, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas. Certifications & Memberships Dr. Benson is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the American Medical Association, The Texas Medical Association, the Brazos-Robertson County Medical Society, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, the Association of American Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the International Society of Cosmetogynecology. Specializations With new specialized surgical techniques, the patient is able to return to her normal activities in a very short amount of time after this surgery. There is minimal postoperative pain and minimal scarring occurs. You should demand a surgeon with exceptional surgical skills. Fees listed above include pre-op bloodwork, surgery, and post-op visit. *Note: We are unable to determine the fees associated with liposuction until you have your consultation visit. The number of areas to be treated and the extent of the treatment determine the length of time the surgery will take. This, in turn, determines the cost of the procedure. Experience has shown that in-office tumescent liposuction is less expensive because there is no fee for the hospital or anesthesia. Office Fees and Insurance Cosmetic surgery, especially vaginal cosmetic surgery and liposuction are not covered by insurance. When either liposuction or vaginal cosmetic surgery (clitoral unhooding, labiaplasty, Vaginoplasty) is scheduled, you will be required to pay HALF of the total cost of the surgery at the time of scheduling. This may be paid with cash, credit card, or debit card. NO personal checks will be accepted. One week prior to the date of surgery, the remaining balance must be paid IN FULL either by cash, credit card, or debit card or the procedure will be canceled. The fee paid will include the doctor’s fee, the facility fee, lab work, and post operative visits. You are responsible for the cost of any pre-operative medications, post-operative medications, or post-operative garments that are prescribed. All patients that are considering vaginal cosmetic surgery or liposuction must have a consultation visit with Dr. Benson. The cost of this visit is $100. This fee must be paid with cash, credit card, or debit card and will be collected when the consultation appointment is scheduled. Should you schedule a procedure to be performed by Dr. Benson, the $100 consultation fee will be deducted from the total cost of your procedure. Financing The financing company we recommend is Chase Health Advance and Care Credit and we are able to assist you in the application process. If approved, the money will be paid directly to Dr. Benson on your behalf. There are scheduling restrictions that apply when using this credit company, and will be explained, should you decide to utilize this company. If you use financing, and you decide to cancel the surgery after it has been paid for, the money paid to Dr. Benson will ONLY be refunded to the finance company. Should you choose to reschedule your date of surgery, you must do so within 90 days of your consultation visit. There are numerous places available within 5 miles of our
office. Airports Our local airport is Easterwood Airport in College Station, TX. The next closest airport is George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, TX. DFW in Dallas, Houston Hobby and Austin Airport are a driving distance of 2-4 hours depending on your flight time of arrival and traffic conditions in those cities.
